XES [Resurrected]
Band History
XES [Resurrected] started in 1998 as a side project with Angelus X. Reverof (Carrion Nights), Bones X. Reverof (Shallow Graves), Harpy A. Reverof (The Scarlet Zodiac), and Wicked Zodiac (Killer Zodiac). Bones being the original founder of XES, just wanting to make a “Industrial Monster”. They put together a lot of songs like “Angels and Demons” and “Inner Demons” that was released on there “illyria demo” that showed guest appearances from Nemesis [13] (Nemesis Invoked) and Midian Necron (Skinned Deep). They were going very strong. But in the fall of 2003 XES split apart and went back to there respected bands, every now and then coming back together to jam.
But in late 2005 after AX[R] moved to Brandon and after being in a band out here (Project X) went and brought back XES [Resurrected] focused with his self titled debut on making a “Classical Industrial Monster”.
2006 set the grounds for the next releases “What Lies Beneath the Skin” and “Inner Demons” but 2006 also dawned the return of Wicked Zodiac, and the induction Nemesis [13] to XES together working on the next album “[Re]invented” sets up the ground for features from EK (Edward Kogok), more art work along with the premier vocals from Harpy

XES [Resurrected] - Interview with AX[R]
Vampire Mafia Magazine: How did you come up with the name XES [Resurrected]?
Angelus X. Reverof: Well there are a few meanings behind the first off the apparent reason sex spelled backwards, but for more of a mystical reason the Greek=666 and the resurrected is the rebirth of the band.
VMM: What are some meanings behind your lyrics?
AXR: Well I don’t like to give things away kind of let people come up with there own meanings for them but just to say a few. “Life of Ashes” is just an out look that shows everything you work for in the end just turns into ashes Read More

XES [Resurrected] CD Review
XES [Resurrected]’s self-tilted debut was short of great. The self clamed genre of “Classical Industrial” gives a new sound to the world. With there song “Life Of Ashes” has the signs of being a chart contender. The keyboards styling of the sole member Angelus X. Reverof give an array of great instrumental tracks like “Fur Of The Angel”, “Razorblade Rain”, and “Undone” show signs of a great techno meets Mozart sound. All though the sound quality is poor and absolute, that doesn’t take away from the great work put into this CD. Reverof gives insightful looks towards religion and life with track like “Air Fire Water Earth” and “Goddess Of Fire”. With the release of this CD gives there label Funeral Disease Records a chance to show there talent off. Over all you should pick up a copy.

What Lies Beneath The Skin CD Review
This is the second album from the “Classical Industrial Monster” XES [Resurrected]. This is by far one of the best. With guest vocals & keyboards on “Drowning You” and “Wasteful Heroes” by Slit “N13” Bathory. “The Uninvited One” AX[R] has also made head way with there songs “The Virus” and “Shameful”. “The Uninvited One” has always delivered and this time there’s no question that’s exactly what he’s done. “Web Of Lies” gives a great out look to the world, and this is one of the best songs on the album.

XES [Resurrected] - Interview with Zodiac
Vampire Mafia Magazine: You have been away from XES[r] for some time how does it feel to be back?
Zodiac: It feels great recording with my brothers again, we are really making progress on the cd. I took the winter months off to visit some friends in Ohio, It's good to be back in sunny Florida again, but the snow was nice. The new DvD is exciting, It's like being on one of those reality shows! It's really great having a window into the creative process behind our cd. We might even include a couple live performances too, so check out our site for details.
VMM: We hear that you are working on a new album, how's that coming along?
Zodiac: It's pretty touch and go at this point and there's been talk about featuring Damian Carrion of the Dead Puppets. Either way I'm just happy with our work so far and I'm glad to be a part of the project. Read More
