Band Bio

You’ve heard Death Metal, Industrial, Punk, and Grunge, but Carrion Nights has arrived to walk among and on those dying genres. To bring forth a new collective sound a new era of music. Drawing influences from Cradle Of Filth, Slipknot, Ra, Pantera, The Beatles and so on and so on.

Carrion Nights came out in 1997, with original the original name Attracting Flies and with its original line up of Dimebag Roachy (guitar), Rose Walker (drums), Chandra Ahrent (bass), Nemesis [13] (vocals, guitar), Angelus X. Reverof (vocals), but later on that year Rose and Chandra left to pursue there own creative ideas. Then and there AX[R] picked up the bass, Dimebag went on drums, and long time friend and brother Bones X. Reverof emerged on guitar and backing vocals

At the very end of that year bassist Angelus X. Reverof left to rejoin his privies band Hastic Dreaming. Replacing him with his now wife Harpy A. Reverof. In 1998 they changed there name to Morbid X and Slit moved to just vocals, finding Midian Necron to replace the missing guitar, but in the middle of that year AX[R] returned taking his place as the bassist moving Harpy to the keyboards.

In 1999-2000 A.X.R., Harpy, and Bones left the band to make XES [Resurrected], in half a year they had two different bassist Aaron Gordon and Jared Hogg and replaced Bones Reverof with there old friend Grim (Black Massacre), there friend Mandy on vocals, and Wicked Zodiac (Killer Zodiac) on keyboards. But in July of 2000 AX[R] returned seeming like he never missed a beat. At that time once again they changed the name to Scarlet Whore.

In 2001 they were still going strong and with the return of Bones adding a third guitar, but losing Mandy and Zodiac. Then they releasing there Kill Me Demo under the name Twisted Nightmare Theatre.

In the years 2003 and 2004, they had many different line up changes. AX[R], Dimebag and Bones left in 2003 to work on there old band Shallow Graves there band before Carrion Nights started . That’s when Alice Nobel (The Scarlet Zodiac) came in on guitar and vocals, Mad Dogg P. (LSD) came in on bass and N[13] went to drums. 2004, Malice came in on keyboards. After a while they all left and the band was dispended In late 2004 Dimebag Roachy (drums), Angelus X. Reverof (bass & vocals), Nemesis [13] (guitar & vocals), Harpy A. Reverof (keyboards), Bones X. Reverof (guitar & vocals) came back under the name Carrion Nights.

But in the dawn of 2005, there brother and long time friend Bones left to pursue his family life. But they found a great guitarist and singer Klown from Love At Last Sight. With Klown now in the band they are focusing on a new genre of there own but in May of 2005 they decided to put an end to Carrion Nights. But no worries Klown rejoined Love At Last Sight. AX[R] and N[13] have a side project that is going to be [RESURRECTED]!!!!!!

Carrion Nights - Interview With Dimebag Roachy

Vampire Mafia Magazine: How did you come up with the name Carrion Nights?

DImebag Roachy: Our ex-guitarist Midian (Skinned Deep) and Slit Bathory (Nemesis Invoked/Skinned Deep) were trying to come up with a new name back when we were Scarlet Whore and they came across Carrion so they called up Angelus and he said lets call it Carrion Nights…out meaning behind it is “The death bird only flies at Nights”.

VMM: What are some meanings behind your lyrics?

DR: Most of our lyrics have different meanings to each member. Like “Lucy’s in a Band” means to me a fun loving world and of course a drug referees. Angelus and our ex-guitars/bassist Bones X. Reverof (Shallow Graves/Skinned Deep) the writers of the song say its there way of honor the Legendary Beatles. “In Control” is our song telling people not to be dependent on other and take control of your life.
